DERBYSHIRE LOST VILLAGE WALKS
Ten circular walks 3 to 10 miles long throughout Derbyshire & The Peak District exploring the Lost Village sites. The villages disappeared for a variety of reasons - Climatic change, sheep clearances, Monastic clearances, wealthy landlords who didn't want to see their village from their hall! And most recently the submerged villages of Ashopton and Derwent when Ladybower Reservoir was built. These are very difference walks in Derbyshire, with full walk details and history notes.
Walks based on Derwent, Conksbury, Middleton, Edensor, Roystone Grange, Hungry Bentley, Osleston, Derby, Burton Blount and Repton.
